Illinois has a distinctive telephone layer beyond the web search. The four-digit PIN confirms receipt, while retry calls help prevent a missed call from ending the notice process. This design is useful when internet access is unreliable or a phone call is preferred. Keep the PIN private and choose one that can be entered when an automated notice arrives.

IDOC also draws a firm boundary: it does not administer VINE and cannot access the registration information supplied to VINE. Absence says nothing about a person with no registration duty, and neither registry proves a release date.
Confirm Monroe County VINE Events
VINE is not an emergency service and does not issue release orders. Data can lag behind the event, an agency may correct a record, and a no-result does not prove that the person was never held.
